THEY ARE GROWING, EVERYTHING IS FINE!


Nature being what it is, from the beginning of pregnancy, the hormonal influx gives volume to the ducts and mammary glands in order to prepare them for breastfeeding.

As a result, the breasts become fuller, their bluish vein network becomes more visible, nipple pigmentation may intensify, and a feeling of tightness, sometimes painful, may appear. This is perfectly normal. It's also normal that, depending on hormone levels, the increase in breast size varies from woman to woman. Slight in some, dramatic in others, it will reach its maximum size a few days after childbirth, when the milk comes in.

If you are not breastfeeding, the sudden drop in hormone levels will cause a rapid decrease in breast size. If you are breastfeeding, the process will be more gradual. In any case, the sooner you begin providing your breasts with proper care, the better you will preserve their firmness.

OFFER THEM NEW SUPPORT


For your personal well-being and the health of your breasts, it's highly recommended to invest in new bras as soon as you feel any discomfort. On average, by the end of pregnancy, each breast gains an additional 500g, and this gradual increase in volume leads to a shift of approximately two cup sizes in nine months.

Each trimester, assess your new measurements and ensure you choose a bra with deeper cups and wider straps that provide support without constricting, and which you can even wear at night if needed. You'll not only gain in comfort but also in allure. Shapes, colors, fabrics... maternity lingerie now rivals the finest classic pieces!

CHOOSE TONING AND SOOTHING SKINCARE PRODUCTS


Breasts contain no muscles; their firmness therefore depends primarily on skin tone. A sudden increase in size threatens skin elasticity and can cause discomfort, sometimes painful. While applying cool compresses can relieve significant tension, the effect is only temporary and won't really address the underlying skin laxity.

The best approach is to take care of your bust daily , from the beginning of pregnancy, with specific treatments that allow you to stimulate the production of support fibers, deeply hydrate and soothe the ultra-reactivity of the epidermis to the variation in volume in a single step.

Always choose formulas specifically designed for maternity, avoiding ingredients like parabens, phthalates, phenoxyethanol, caffeine, bisphenols A and S, and alcohol, and compatible with breastfeeding if needed. When massaging, gently massage around the breasts, from the inside out, moving upwards towards the neck. For prevention, this ritual can be combined with anti-stretch mark treatments, as stretch marks are also exacerbated by hormonal changes and sudden skin stretching.

THINK ABOUT YOUR BACK AND CHEST


According to the laws of gravity, a heavier chest tends to pull the torso forward. However, a hunched posture is detrimental to good pectoral muscle tone and contributes to back pain.

In addition to specific treatments, remember to straighten your posture to prevent breast tension from compounding it with tension in the neck and upper back muscles. There's no need to stiffen to the point of difficulty breathing: simply lengthen your spine by pushing the crown of your head upwards (without lifting your chin) and your sacrum downwards.

To tone the pectoral muscles that help support the breasts, set aside a few minutes each day for the following exercise: with hands joined, elbows at shoulder height, squeeze palms together while inhaling, hold for 3 seconds, release while exhaling, then repeat about fifteen times.
