OUR COMMITMENTS

We have a responsibility to our children

Like any parent, we are responsible. We have long engaged in an activist approach to minimize the impact of our products on people and the environment and to support projects for the quality of life of children. And our projects are just as ambitious.

Our goal: to be zero carbon emissions by 2030

Last December, at the UN Climate Change Conference, along with 500 other B Corp certified companies, we committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2030 – twenty years ahead of the 2050 date set in the Paris Agreement.

This will involve transforming our supply and manufacturing processes as close as possible to consumers, and taking a circular approach to the life of our products and their packaging.

Sourcing

Responsible sourcing

With responsible plant supply chains under UEBT control, our goal is to master the traceability of our plant-based active ingredients, from cultivation or harvesting to their processing and incorporation into our products. We work in partnership with all stakeholders in the supply chain (farmers, local authorities, agronomists, etc.).

Natural and organic ingredients

Since our creation, we have been promoting the best plant-based ingredients, prioritizing organic, while ensuring the safety of our products with a demanding formulation charter.

The fight against waste

We transform avocados destined for disposal to create cosmetic active ingredients used in our products. The entire avocado (including the pit) is thus transformed into oil and powder, from which avocado perseose is derived and found in our products.

Composition and production

Green extraction processes

We use specific technologies that respect humans and the environment, including molecular distillation, a "green" process for separating and concentrating the noble elements of oils, and biotechnologies, such as enzymatic engineering, an alternative method to the use of certain chemical substances.

A reduction in our consumption

Since 2020, for every 100 units produced, we have reduced our electricity consumption by 19.4%, gas by 24.6%, and water by 13.2%.

A green energy supply

Since 2018, we have been purchasing 100% green electricity from renewable energy sources (hydroelectric, etc.) for our production site located in France. For 100% of the electricity consumed by the Expanscience production site, 100% renewable electricity of European origin is injected into the grid.

Packaging and distribution

Eco-designed products

Our products are eco-designed throughout their life cycle. For instance, our bottles and boxes are recyclable, our packaging is streamlined to contain only the necessary amount of material, and our leaflets have been eliminated. When we use boxes, they are made from sustainably managed forest cardboard and printed with vegetable oil-based inks.

Experience BULK

We are launching a bulk sales experiment, i.e., selling unpackaged products. The idea? To go even further in the eco-design of our products, and more specifically in reducing packaging. More environmentally friendly, this distribution method is part of a circular economy approach and offers an alternative to plastic bottles.

Trip Optimization

GEODIS's warehouse is located less than 800 meters from our factory (ISO14001 certified - environmental management standard).
